Syracuse has landed 2020 four Star Center, Frank Anselem. Anselem chose the Orange over Georgia, San Diego State, and New Mexico. He had 35 other D1 offers, with the majority of them being from Power 5 schools. He recently reclassified from the Class of 2021.
A graduate of Prolific Prep, Anselem was ranked 142nd in his class by 24/7 Sports. He has no stats online but caught the eyes of coaches like Bill Self, John Calipari, and Will Wade. Other graduates of Prolific Prep include NBA guard Josh Jackson and Jalen Green who skipped college to play in the G-League next season.
The 6’10 big man has a wingspan of 7’5 and is a force to be reckoned with down low. He is a very slim 200 pounds and his best abilities are defense and rebounding.
In an interview with The Front Office, Anselem told the interviewers that the school he was the most in contact with was Syracuse. He was really excited not only about next year but the far future. “Me and Coach Red, we kinda built a great relationship. Playing in upstate New York… Coach Boeheim, he’s a hall of fame coach.
Anselem joins Woody Newton and Kadary Richmond in Syracuse’s class of 2020.
