ACCBR Power Rankings: 2/25/20

As we inch closer to Selection Sunday (3/15/20), the picture is starting to clear up for us a little bit. North Carolina State is more than likely going to be in the field after really just beating down Duke last week. Florida State has seemingly solidified themselves as the the top team in the conference after dominating Louisville in the last 12 minutes last night. Duke continues to be interesting but susceptible to laying an egg at the most random times.

Of course, this could all change in a single I am now of the belief that the ACC will receive five bids. I had thrown this number out on Busting Brackets a few weeks ago, but I am now really confident in that prediction. Notre Dame and Syracuse just don’t have the wins, which you will see below. Also, Clemson, of all teams, is starting to creep up the standings and they have a resume’ that isn’t half bad.

Also included today is my first draft of the awards. Three all conference teams, the all freshmen team and the individual awards. This is more of a tracking than anything. There is a possibility it could change in next weeks post.

Enjoy!

The all-conference teams were hard. The obvious omission is Cole Anthony but with just 16 games played this season and as poorly as UNC has played, I felt Chris Lykes was the better selection. Now, if Anthony and UNC go buck wild in the ACC Tournament, that could change in a hurry for me. I mean, the kid still averages 21 points per game in the ACC, which is why I put him on the all-freshmen team.
