ACC Recruiting Roundup

Didn’t get the recruiting news up last week due to the dreaded blue screen of death on my laptop. Now I am using some piece of shit from work while I decide if I want to go with another cheap one, or put on my superman huggies and go with a Mac Book. Being a man, I have an incorrigible urge to spend money recklessly.

Here we go…

  • 2019 guard Deuce Dean took an unofficial visit to VT this weekend. UVA was in to see Dean on 9/29
  • GT in to watch forward Josh Taylor, a forward in the 2020 class
  • FSU in to see 5 star Scottie Barnes on 9/29
  • Clemson was in to watch 2020 forward BJ Boston. Boston also visited NC State on 9/30
  • Joey Baker took an unofficial to Duke on 9/30 and the Devils offered him on the visit.
  • Tony Bennett was in to see Armando Bacot on 9/29
  • Syracuse has offered Precious Achiuwa. They watched him play on 9/29
  • RJ Barrett hosted Coach K and Jeff Capel. Barrett has cut Arizona and Michigan from his list. It appears to be either Duke or UK
  • VT has David Duke, Landers Nolley and Jarren McCallister for official visits this weekend
  • Romeo Langford has removed Louisville from consideration given the most recent scandal and firing of Rick Pitino.
  • 5 star guards Anfernee Simons and Courtney Ramey have both decommitted from Louisville.
  • Louisville has ceased recruiting Darius Days
  • Scottie Lewis has named his final 12 and included Duke and UNC
  • Jules Bernard did not make his visit to Miami this weekend
  • Elijah Wood names his 11 which includes UNC and ND
  • Creighton de-commit Ian Steere will announce his new commitment on 10/6. Visited NC State this weekend.
  • FSU and GT were both in to see Ashton Hagans this week
  • Syracuse was in to see 2020 5 star Scottie Barnes.
  • GT was in to see Malcolm Dandridge
  • Syracuse and Miami were both in to see Vernon Carey, the top player in the 2019 class
  • Miami was in to see Khalif Battle
  • Omar Payne visited FSU, Payne is a 4 star big man in the 2019 class
  • UNC visited Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis
  • VT hosted Nigel Marshall and Ibn Williams for unofficial visits on 9/23
  • FSU hosted Balsa Koprivica, Diante Smith and Zimife Nwojeki
  • Miami hosted Eric Ayala and Saddiq Bey on 9/22
  • Vernon Carey visited Miami for an unofficial
  • Syracuse was in to see #1 guard target Jalen Carey this week. Carey has recently trimmed Miami from his list given their possible involvement with a recruiting scandal.
  • Simi Shittu will take an official visit to UNC
  • Clemson offered Balso Koprivica
  • Clemson was in to watch Omar Payne
  • FSU offered Trendon Watford
  • Syracuse Notre Dame, Duke and FSU all in to see 5 star Isaiah Stewart
  • Notre Dame seems to be targeting Charles Smith IV heavily. Smith took an unofficial to South Bend on 9/1
  • 2019 big man Jakov Kukic is garnering interested from Notre Dame and FSU
  • VT and GT both in to see Khalid Moore. VT offered Moore. He will take an official to Atlanta later this month
  • VT offered 3 star big man Florent Thamba
  • Pitt had an in home visit with Saddiq Bey
  • FSU was in to see 5 star Keldon Johnson
  • VT was in to see David Duke
  • UNC was in to see Romeo Langford
  • FSU has offered 2021 guard Randy Brady
  • Christian Brown took an unofficial visit to GT on 9/23
  • Ayo Dosunmu took his official visit to Wake this weekend
  • Keyontae Johnson will reschedule his official visit to GT. He was originally supposed to go on 10/6 but will have to push that date. Johnson has also said he will probably be a spring commitment.
  • UVA was in to see Aidan Igiehon, a 5 star big man in the 2019 class
  • Pitt was in to see Qudus Wahab, a 4 star center from Virginia
  • Talen Horton Tucker has cut his list from 13 to 7 and named GT among them. He will be looking to start scheduling visits soon.
  • Nassir Little has removed Miami from consideration
  • NC State has offered Juwan Gary
  • Miami was in to see Kahlil Whitney
  • Duke and Louisville in to see Bryan Antoine
  • Wake has been in contact with 2020 guard Jalen Cone
  • Miami has offered Diante Smith and CJ Walker
  • NC State and Clemson have both been in to see Jaelyn Withers
  • FSU has offered 2018 recruit Carlos Curry
  • GT was in to see Balsa Koprivica
  • UVA was in to see both Jaden Dellaire and Loomis Chaffee
  • Wake was in to see Zach Harvey and Jeremiah Robinson
  • Jaden Springer took an unofficial visit to this weekend. Was at Louisville on 9/16
  • UNC performed an in home visit with Romeo Langford on 9/19
  • FSU and VT were both in to see Elias King
  • James Wiseman has received an offer from Clemson
  • 2019 PF Will Baker has received an offer from UNC
  • Drake London has received an offer from UVA

Commitments

  • Micheal Devoe has committed to Georgia Tech over Wake Forest. This is Josh Pastner’s second commitment in the 2018 class.
  • Isaiah Mucius has committed to Wake Forest. Danny Manning put a tremendous class together for next year.
  • Notre Dame has beat out UNC for Nate Laszewski. The 4 star forward will be a big time player for Mike Brey
  • Hunter Tyson, a 4 star forward from North Carolina has committed to Clemson. Tyson held offers from Michigan and Wake Forest among others

Notes

  • Matthias Tass committed to St. Mary’s. He was deciding between the Gaels and GT
  • David McCormack has committed to Kansas. NC State was still in consideration
  • Luther Muhammad committed to Ohio State over Notre Dame
  • Louis King committed to Oregon over NC State and others.
  • Maryland has apparently become the favorite for 5 star big man Moses Brown since the news broke about the recruiting scandal. As of Thursday, Browns father claimed he had not heard from Louisville.
  • Andrew Nembhard has removed UVA from consideration
  • Khadim Sy is transferring from VT and has landed at Tallahassee CC.

Little sloppy today and I apologize, this laptop is fucking horrendous. I type about 6 words before they actually appear on the screen, that is why everything is so short.
