Virginia misses on Quinerly

UVA suffered a recruiting miss yesterday when top 20 player, point guard Jahvon Quinerly, committed to Sean Miller and the Arizona Wildcats. The Cavaliers had made Quinerlys final 7 back in late May, but it was said that the final two on decision day were Arizona and Villanova.

Quinerly, a 6’1 160lb lead guard out of Hackensack NJ, is just another notch on Millers recruiting belt and will be stepping into an Arizona backcourt that will be losing (presumably) Allonzo Trier and Rawle Alkins to early entry and lead guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright to graduation.

All is not lost for the French though, as Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome are only sophomores and 4 star DeAndre Hunter is arriving this season. They are presumably still recruiting Elijah Weaver but were not mentioned in a July 27th article on Elite Hoops when Weaver was talking relationships and possible visits.
